SSH - Secure Shell Protocol

Secure Shell (SSH) is a network protocol for secure data communication, remote shell services or command execution and other secure network services between two networked computers.

SSH - Secure Shell Protocol uses the following ports:

  • TCP: 22

Firebind is a Network Path Scanner that will allow you to test any TCP or UDP port or range of ports to confirm whether those ports are open and are not being blocked by a firewall in the egress or OUTBOUND (client machine to Internet) direction.

To learn more about how Firebind can test SSH - Secure Shell Protocol and other protocols see our product offering or read our FAQ here.
